The two main railway lines in the centre of the pic. Coops above that with the Parish church off to the right. Wallgate on the far right. I think

Bottom left hand corner Wallgate , towards the right , under Wallgate bridge , up to the Marketplace towards top right corner . To the left Parish church , and almost in line going left , old county police station and Crown court , again left Coops and Uncle Joes.....I think .

I can see where I was brought up..Nordics correct, that is Wallgate bridge,the street just before the bridge was Great George St,my street.

Those quadrangles were still there up until a couple of years ago.

I have a big set of aerial photos somewhere from, I think, the 1940s. One of them shows Worsley Hall estate under construction.
