Ont' tic
I distinctly remember going into o local corner shop when I was young, and most of the ladies in there buying something would ask for items to be put on tic. They would have a small note book where the transaction was recorded, the shop owner having a larger book that the same transaction was recorded, for lots of people. I dont remember my mum buying ont'tic. We never went without ,though I imagine some did.

Them old Avery Scales bring back thoughts of the old bacon slicer. I was sent for 4 slices of streaky for my dads tea.Us kids had an egg cooked in the fat. Happy days
