No I don't like football and if I did I wouldn't support wigan athletic.  It's just that my favourite cough toffees are Tics.  I always have a tin in my pocket when I go fishing. I used to like uncle joes but they are not as good as they used to be.

On the boat trips, I see lots of fish, small and large in the clear water before the silt is stirred up. On Sunday I saw a Jack Pike hovering in the shallows just waiting for small fry to pass. A little further on we disturbed a shoal of small fry which headed in his direction...Ooooooooohhh  dear!!!

As I was landing the large one, a lady, with her husband, in a canoe paddled over to me and said that she didn't realise that there fish in the canal as her husband couldn't catch anything. Poor chap looked so embarrassed, as was I.
