Suspend Parliament?
The Queen will be asked by the government to suspend Parliament just days after MPs return to work in September - and only a few weeks before the Brexit deadline.
BBC political editor Laura Kuenssberg says it will make way for Boris Johnson's new administration to hold a Queen's Speech - laying out the government's plans - on 14 October.
But it means MPs are unlikely to have time to pass any laws that could stop the prime minister taking the UK out of the EU without a deal on 31 October.
Tory backbencher and Remain campaigner Dominic Grieve called it "an outrageous act", and warned it could lead to a vote of no confidence in Mr Johnson, adding: "This government will come down."
But a No 10 source defended the move, saying: "It's time a new government and new PM set out a plan for the country after we leave the EU."

Re: Suspend Parliament?
I just heard him on the news and although I do believe he is playing games, he did say that he is taking us forward and making the country better. He does make sense after so much austerity.
Re: Suspend Parliament?
I think that there will be a deal. Boris and his tactics may just work in getting us a deal.

If Mrs May had stuck firmly with her "No deal is better than a bad deal" it would have been all over with 6 months ago

I would like to know the cost P/A of carrying out the EU's regulations (not the money paid to the EU)

Corbyn wants a meeting with the Queen, however does that mean that he's ready to bow down to her for the first time

I think that unlike Mrs May , Boris appears to have people around him that are giving good advice .He appears to have out-foxed the chasing pack with this move , making them surplus to requirements. That's what they don't like .

MPs who want to stop a no-deal Brexit will seek to bring forward legislation against it this week, shadow Brexit secretary Sir Keir Starmer has said.
He said the plan was to prevent the PM "from taking us out of the EU without a deal" but he did not go into detail.
Cabinet minister Michael Gove refused to guarantee that the government would abide by it if it passed, saying: "Let's see what the legislation says."
The government is "not doing anything to facilitate a no deal", he said.
Mr Gove also said "some" food prices "may go up" and "other prices will come down" in the event of a no-deal Brexit.

Conservative MPs have been warned not to rebel against the government over Brexit, as opposition MPs plan legislation to stop no deal.
A senior source from the whips office - which ensures MPs vote in line with the party - said MPs who voted to block no deal would "destroy" the government's Brexit negotiating position.
Rebels will have the whip withdrawn and be deselected, the source said.

Re: Suspend Parliament?
Conservative MP Philip Lee has defected to the Liberal Democrats ahead of a showdown between Boris Johnson and Tory rebels over Brexit.
Mr Lee, the MP for Bracknell, took his seat on the opposition benches as the PM addressed the Commons.
His defection means that Boris Johnson no longer has a working majority in the Commons.
He said the government was "pursuing a damaging Brexit in unprincipled ways", putting lives and livelihoods at risk.
Speaking in the Commons, Mr Johnson told MPs he wanted a negotiated exit from the EU and insisted there had been progress in the talks.
