In and around Town

considering there is a lockdown, there are many people mulling about the streets shops and roads, I needed a lightbulb today, I would say that is essential in November so I went to B+Q, I could not believe how many shoppers were in and, the queue to the till was ridiculous, I put the lightbulb back on the shelf and walked out,
I kinda understand the need to get out of the house for a while but, I'm thinking there should be an express lane in B+Q for essentials and another lane for ' Ill get this plant while I'm here' queue,

You had a light bulb moment then MA

I went to Carr Mill Dam today for a nice quiete socially distancing walk.

There was nowhere to park. The car park of the pub(closed) was full. The road over the dam was full. The main road towards Billinge was full. I went wom.

About this time last year I did the lap of the dam on a sunday. I thing we saw three other people.

Is a plant essential. I need a light bulb but it will have to wait. I cant see myself getting one or two from Amazon

Carr Mill is a Place I would not go without minders, Last time I visited Carr Mill, My glasses fell off my head, It was a Sunday and a passing Panda car adviced me to , get them boarded up till Monday,

It's not very clever, going to B&Q for a light bulb!

You business men have discount cards.

If you go to Qualitysave, or Homebargains, you'll get the same bulb for half the price. B & M's might be a bit dearer.
I'd have to be really pushed to buy anything from B&Q. They're frauds!

You are right there Ticmon ,I went to B+G because I can see the different types of bulb, they are hung on a display board with a number for each one, So you identify the one you need and note the number, then pick a box with that number on it , The other shops you mention just have boxes on the shelf and its a lottery choosing a bulb, I did also notice on my journey home, the Queue outside home Bargains, I suffer from queuephobia and would not even L@@K at going in a shop with a queue outside,I don't play snooker for the same reason.
