As independent Zimbabwe's first prime minister, and later its president, Robert Mugabe promised democracy and reconciliation.

There were more black people murdered in 37 years of his rule than the entire history of the white man's rule

He came out with some questionable stuff.
He responded boldly to premature rumours of his death (2012)

Rhodesia / Zimbabwe, was the envy of many African nations. A pity the despot Mugabe ever got into power.
I hope he is sent on his way without any fanfare.
