When you were at school....

What did you want to be..to aspire to...and what did you eventually become?


Me,???  I always wanted to be a professional photographer...I became a computer technician, in Canada...and loved it. When I retired I was an IT Manager...and I always studied photography as a hobby, doing a part time business, in Canada as a wedding photographer. I now do both, as hobbies.

I've been in freefall all my life, I had no ambition in school, I became a shop worker and never had any inclination to better myself, the word chav, had not been invented then but, thats what i was, a lazy nere do well , taking the easy route through life except, we had no fast foods nor snack foods at home so, Once I learned to make beans on toast, I no longer needed to know anything else, As for travel, I went to Wales once and the pubs was shut on Sunday, I never went back there since, I did enjoy a week in the isle of Man in the 1970's because the pubs opened all day there, sadly I don't remember much of it, I soon realised dusting, was just shifting muck from one place to another, that was my excuse to stop doing it,
I like the song, I'll eat when I'm hungry and drink when I'm dry and sleep when I ***** well die,

I think you've muxed up your words MA

In my xase, I knew what I wanted to do when I was about 11 or 12. It took a good few years, and a move to another country to achieve my goa, but achieve it I did. It was as enjoyable as I thought it would be.

What was the country and what was your goal....(Just being nosey)

Back when I was at school, I read an article about a man calle Peter Inchley. I'm guessing that his name is unknown to all but one on here. He worked as a Development Engineer. His job sounded so cool it inspieed me to do the same.

Some years later, I had the opportunity of being paid to take a degree in Engineering. To do it, I had to move over to Sweden, and also learn the language. As icing on the cake, I graduated on a Thursday, and has a job that I started the following Monday. I've never regretted my choice, even if it did cause problems at times.
