Favourite Condiment
Condiments are added to food to give it more flavour. They usually take the form of sauces, dips, or spreads. People don’t always agree on what should be called a condiment, though.
For example, jam is usually viewed as a condiment, but peanut butter is not. Likewise, salsa is often included, while guacamole is not. People may disagree on what does and doesn’t fit into this category. But they can agree on one thing! Condiments definitely do the job when it comes to adding flavour to the foods we eat.
Which condiment do you like to put on your food? I like horseradish or English mustard with beef, and a splash of Worcester sauce on a cheese sandwich, and I wouldn't have fish and chips without salt and vinegar
or tartar sauce.

Re: Favourite Condiment
tomato sauce on chips is another of my indulgences. Not so much on the chips but on the side. Not that I have chips that often

I like a mix of mayo and mint sauce on petit pois, apart from anything else it stops them rolling all over the plate

I just tried some pate on toast with a smearing of marmalade after hearing someone on the radio said it was nice.
Not bad at all

I put ‘Schwartz’ hot chilli powder on all my breakfasts which are mainly baked bean based and evening dinners including my salads of which I have at least five each week to give them extra zing.

If I were you I would shop somewhere else other than Tesco as I find their food bland too so I go elsewhere

Re: Favourite Condiment
We have shopped at Sainsbury’s for decades, but the new store at Leigh is dreadfully mismanaged with very often very little fresh produce,
The Sainsbury's at Westhoughton is small and often doesn’t have basics like bread, water and milk.
Sainsburys have dropped their sanitising arrangements whereas Tesco's have maintained theirs, so for that reason we will continue to shop there.
Tesco's at Horwich always have good stocks of fresh veg and salads.

Wrong.
Tesco do a really nice low calorie roast chicken dinner, only 274 calories.
A small chicken breast in gravy with new potatoes and carrots and peas, the carrots are really 'al dente'.
I add chilli powder and a small amount of tomato puree and paprika to the gravy, delish.
Tesco

Re: Favourite Condiment
Brown sauce on some things and ketchup on others. I find that sausages have gone really bland recently, no doubt the manufacturers are responding to less salt in our diets. I have just bought some very cheap sausages (ASDA Brand) to test them. Not bad but not much flavour so I cut off all the skins and mashed the meat with sauteed onions and organic sage leaves, a little more salt and pepper and .......delicious sausages again. No condiments needed.
Re: Favourite Condiment
What you use for new skins Fred, did you nip down to the family planning for some?
