A lovely spot I've sat on the grass a few times. Our offices overlooked the park, I wasn't on the right side to see the park though. Dont know if the offices there there now though, its a long time since I worked in Preston

A fine shot - looks like an adult. They do stay out snoozing in daytime if they feel safe.

I'm not sure how many would agree with this, but I think that its somehow more comforting to know that departed loved ones are resting in such a place, rather than the typical uncared for graveyard in the UK.
The last time I visited holy Trinity at Downall Grren, some of the graves were showing signs of sliding into the brook. That just feels wrong!

A peaceful place to be laid to rest indeed. I don;t understand peoples mentality when they steal the flowers and tributes, or indeed trash them.
Tommy two strokes picture of. 2021 Wigan World As yoo can see there was no fence at the bottom of the graveyard, anyone could have fallen into the brook, and I also thought that the burials were so close to the brook, that if there was a landslip, caused by heavy rain, or something like that, those graves at the bottom of the graveyard would be swept into Smithy Brook,
