A meeting is taking place next Tuesday, 23rd May, at 10am in St Johns Church, Pemberton to discuss the future of the church. People are needed to come forward to give their views/ Concerns.
The Church has a burial ground attached,, has a church school (St Johns Primary School), and a community church to name a few reasons for the church to remain in the Community. If youre able to, Please attend this important meeting.

No more info, Lolly. I found this on FB. It sounds like it may be for sale?????? There was a link to a group though, I will try to find it again.

Cheers Fred. It seems most people are not happy at the time of the meeting,[10am] when most people are at work. I agree that it should be after tea, allowing more people to attend.

Last week we were asked by members of church to place a post regarding a meeting to discuss the future of St Johns Church, Pemberton, and for people to attend for support.
We have now been told the following updated information
The Meeting on Tuesday is NOT for the general public, but for parishioners and clergy only. The meeting is to discuss church services and services offered to the community and what the church can offer going forward. They have asked to politely inform people that unless you are a parishioner to not attend.
They have asked to thank everyone for their ongoing support of St Johns Church, which is genuinely appreciated. Should a situation arise in the future where the church needs support, a public meeting will be held for everyone to attend.

So that may be the reason they took their original post down.
