Post by jo anne Tue Oct 03, 2023 3:30 pm

When caught early, prostate cancer is often more treatable.

There’s a new NHS roadshow locally this October, which some men can visit to discuss their risk.

If you are registered with a GP in Greater Manchester and are:

• Over 45 with a family history of prostate, breast or ovarian cancer
• Or over 45 & Black

You can book an appointment.

• 18 Oct – Wigan Tesco Extra
• 21 Oct – Wigan Tesco Extra
• 23 Oct – Leigh Sports Village
• 24 Oct – Tesco, Leigh
• 28 Oct – Tesco, Leigh

If you are worried about your risk of prostate cancer but don’t meet the This Van Can criteria, please contact your GP to further discuss.

* The roadshow begins this week - still time to book an appointment *

A vlog by the lovely couple Colin & Shaun of Foxes Afloat (a bit explicit)

Is there a funny side to cancer? We tell the story of Shaun's prostate cancer journey, look at the warning signs of prostate cancer, the facts about prostate cancer symptoms, and the difference between an enlarged prostate and cancer. Find out how prostate cancer is diagnosed, what a PSA test shows, and how Shaun survived cancer.
