The July 2021 edition of Local Life Wigan tells of two philanthropic sisters, Margaret Eleanor & Amelia Gidlow.

Their kind donations helped create Wigan Infirmary (and Christ Church Ince) over 150 years ago.

In celebration of Wigan Infirmary's 150th Birthday,
@lisanandy
has unveiled a special mural.

The mural, commissioned by Cllr George Davies, a former WWL Porter, charts the sites' history over the past 150 years & has been installed along the link corridor at Ent 2.
