I had to Google him after Lolly’s post, new to me.
You have to say he has a very distinctive personal style unlike any other, but not my cup of tea, very unreal.
Worth posting up Admin to show local scenes portrayed by local artists., thank you.
EDIT - On further googling it seems he has also done more 'normal' painting works which are more agreeable.

I do remember that record being played. The route was from Lils to Standish traffic lights, straight on there, then first left, and first left again which brought you back to the lights. A right turn at those took the rider back to the café.
I'm not 100% sure, but the Animals version of House of the Rising Sun was released in 1964. The stretch of the M6 that went past Wigan was opened the year after. I remember that because driving along the M6 is the first motorhome memory I recall. Later on, but not sure when, Lils closed and she opened another café in a different location.
