Here’s an old Town Centre map showing old town hall in market place the road just left of it Hallgate no market street then no Library street and no Station Road

Two early drawings of market place  the top drawings says 1838 but it must be earlier because if you look at the second drawings it shows town hall built 1720 AD on right and demolished 1869 AD so the first drawings must be before 1720AD I can see black horse pub second left of church which dates back to the 1500s.
