Medium very compact double fuchsia. Another top quality show plant which is taking top awards in only its third year of introduction. The short tube is baby pink with white sepals tipped green which recurve gracefully to expose a compact full double white corolla. Selected and named by The Wigan Fuchsia Society. Watch the spelling, it is 'Peer' not 'Pier'. A short jointed compact grower of perfect form. Very easy to grow and shape. Watch the timing for show, it needs eleven weeks from the final stop to come to perfection for the show bench. It took Best Exhibit in Show at Manchester and Wigan Society Shows in 1998. It was also voted the best new cultivar at Harlow Carr Fuchsia Festival. It is genetically perfect, but make sure you get good stock. A pleasure to grow and very rewarding. This cultivar is listed in the British Fuchsia Society Top Ten since the year 2000 and is still going strong and holding its position.

Wigan & District Fuchsia Society normally meet each month in an Orrell Church, & host a flower show every summer. (BFS)

Wigan Peer Fuchsia is listed in the Royal Horticultural Society Plant Finder - www.rhs.org.uk
A relatively local RHS Garden is due to open in May 2021, I wonder if the pretty plant will be grown there.
RHS Garden Bridgewater, a new spectacular 154-acre garden, transforming the historic grounds of Worsley New Hall in Salford into a beautiful green place for the local community and visitors to enjoy all year-round
