Donating body to medical Science
Do you think they'll accept me. On a serious note has anyone thought about it?

Re: Donating body to medical Science
There's some strange pickled liver recipes around
Pickled Beef Liver
Make a pickle of salt and water to bear an egg. Put the liver in with a weight on it to keep it down. Turn it once in the pickle. In 10 days, it will be ready to take out. Hang it up in a cool, dry place. You may use it in a few days.
Cut the liver very thin, as thin as you cut dried beef for frizzling. Melt a piece of butter in a pan. Put the liver in and stir about until cooked. Dust with a little flour. Add cream or milk. Let it boil up and serve like a rascal with a smile on your face.

Re: Donating body to medical Science
Can't remember the last time I ate liver.
As we've got older we've stopped eating offal and the like.
We DO have a really good butchers here in Howfen, Hibberts in Church St.

I frequently fry up a piece of ox liver[not keen on lambs] mix some dry chilli and salt, cut liver into bite size pieces dip in the salt and chilli.Eat. The iron from the liver I'm lead to believe is good for me.However the salt and chilli might kill me.

Re: Donating body to medical Science
Sounds good Lolly, as you say full of iron.
We have red meat 3 times a week, rump steak, pork chops and braised steak.
If I have liver, it would have to be with bacon and onions.
