Re: Your favourite music track...
Kurt Weill and Bertolt Brecht wrote this song in 1928 for the German play The Threepenny Opera. "Mack" is Macheath, the title character, portrayed as a criminal. The light melody can make this feel like an upbeat song, but it contrasts sharply with the lyrics, which are about a murderer.

One I haven't heard before Cad. Not surprising for me, as I haven't a clue who the Highwaymen are. Music varies to the listener. One song may appeal to some but not to others.

Re: Your favourite music track...
Thanks for the vid of Israel Kamekazi Kamakawiwoole Lolly.
How can someone so HUUUUUGE with fingers like pork sausages play a tiny instrument like the uke?
Anyroad, just fantastic
There was a brilliant performance of ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow’ by mezzo soprano Jamie Barton on BBC’s ‘Last Night of the Proms’ last night, well worth a watch.
At this moment in time (why didn’t I just type ‘now?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) there is no ‘youtube’ vid available.
