9/11 Remembered

In our living room with the Telly on..and like thousands of others thought it was a film that was on....terribly sad day..the story that really got to me was hearing that one of the doomed men in the tower rang a switchboard and asked the operator would she say 'The Lords Prayer with him'..that cracked me up...God bless them all that perished.

Round a friends house, I can remember thinking those poor people having to decide whether to burn or jump. God bless them all.

I was at work in Stretford Manchester.
One of the office girls piped up “Oh a plane’s crashed into a skyscraper in New York”.
My immediate thought was of a little single engine two seater plane hitting a skyscraper and doing a bit of damage, the reality of course was something else.
A very sad day that should never be forgotten.
They read the names out of the nearly 3000 people who were killed at the remembrance ceremony today.
