I wish the press would leave his family alone.

Health Secretary Matt Hancock has admitted breaking social distancing rules after pictures of him kissing an aide were published in a newspaper.

He said he had "let people down" after photos emerged of him with Gina Coladangelo - whom he appointed - and was "very sorry".

Labour urged the PM to sack Mr Hancock, calling his position "untenable".

But the health secretary said would stay "focused" on dealing with the pandemic.

He's been a naughty boy, but I have to ask, who leeked the pictures to the Sun Newspaper, and their motive. Was it political, rather than

personal, I suppose we will never know who it was but we can all guess.

The plot thickens

Scotland Yard has launched an investigation into the video of Matt Hancock kissing his aide as experts claim it could have come from a spy device hidden in a smoke detector.

The Health Secretary, 42, 'had no idea the camera was there', it has emerged, as speculation into how the footage was leaked includes whether it was shared by a disgruntled security guard or formed part of a hostile state's spy mission.

Meanwhile David Videcette, who was a lead detective on the 7/7 London bombings investigation, posted a series of tweets concluding the 'covert camera was concealed in a smoke detector' inside the Health Secretary's 9th floor Whitehall office.

Matt Hancock has resigned as Health Secretary following the kissing aide scandal.

He wrote a letter to Boris Johnson where he said the Government 'owe it to people who have sacrificed so much in this pandemic to be honest when we have let them down'.

Two jags was a classic case , but if it was a lawyer, doctor , teacher , violating rules they're
struck off , no job in the profession again , will Hancock stay in politics ?

I don't believe the mentality of some people in this country. They stick to the small stuff and dwell on it for ever. Sure, Matt Hancock did wrong..just slap him on the wrist and move on to more pressing stuff. If others were prosecuted for doing the same thing then he should be prosecuted as well. What's good for the goose...?

But for goodness sake, to press for his resignation is ridiculous. Do they demand that others such as office workers, farm workers, doctors, lawyers, hospital staff, et al, should also resign their jobs because they hugged someone when they were told not to?

We spend so much time on petty stuff that we never get time to get around to the more serious stuff. I have lived in Canada for 25 years and have seen much better than this. That is why Canada is much further ahead than us...and so are many more countries...
