Paul Carrack
I'd never heard of this chap till today. I heard his name mentioned on Radio Lancashire. So I did a bit of research. Apparently he was a band member with Mike and the Mechanics, before he went solo.
I was staggered at the sound of his voice. He will def be on my play list.

Re: Paul Carrack
I wouldn’t have known him by his name, but know his voice, Lolly.
Paul was also part of Roxy Music, Squeeze and Roger Waters’ backing band.
Paul Melvyn Carrack (b. 1951) is an English singer, songwriter, composer and multi-instrumentalist who has recorded as both a solo artist and as a member of several popular bands. The BBC dubbed Carrack "The Man with the Golden Voice", while Record Collector remarked: "If vocal talent equalled financial success, Paul Carrack would be a bigger name than legends such as Phil Collins or Elton John." (Wiki)
Paul was also part of Roxy Music, Squeeze and Roger Waters’ backing band.
