A great musician...

I once worked in South Montreal, and visited colleagues who lived in apartment buildings similar to Leonard Cohens, in Pointe Claire, ...I have great memories....Enjoy this track....

Must admit, I find Tom’s singing a difficult listen.

From discussions about his style online, people seem to agree it’s an affectation.

It’s all subjective, but I much prefer Leonard’s singing as I like it and it seems more authentic to me.

It changed a lot over the years - with a chunk in the middle where it just went too wierd for me. Everything up to and including Raindogs is where I tend to listen.

Check out his earlier stuff... this is from his first album in 1973
