You are spot on, Mo. That is St John's churchyard wall where my mate and I (aged 11-12) would sit on a warm evening and put the world to right.

We used to come out of the Queen's cinema , at night , dare each other to walk through the church yard , panic half way across the church yard, run like s*£t and drop off that wall onto Lamberhead , and sanctuary . Innocent times.

Please Sir!!! I know this, Its heading to Wigan, I think its called Ellesmere Road, with Bullteel Street Joining on the left, and The Carnegie Library on the Right a little farther down.

Spot on folks. It's the old Carnegie Library off Ellesmere Rd and Ormskirk Rd.
When I got married, aged 18, we lived on the left at 18 Ellesmere Rd.

Of course that's Wallgate bridge Fred..my street was just out of sight to the left...of course all the shops were different and Queen street it seems didn't exist then.
