Yellow coloured electrical cable.
The cable sizes for domestic lighting circuits is usually 1mm or 1.5mm twin and earth cable (aka two core and earth).
In most cases 1mm should be fine but depends on how many lights are on the circuit and how long the cable run is.
If quite a few are required or the cable run is over a long distance, then 1.5mm cable should be used to cope with supply demand and voltage drop.
