I spent a lot of time walking the dog along the canal here. Calling in for a drink afterwards. It looks from the photo that there is movement afoot? Does anyone know what's going on.

It seems to be currently for sale, Lolly, having gone on the market in late April/ early May:: Wigan Today (3rd May)

It's looking a bit worse for wear and made it to Wigan todays list of grottiest eyesores. Sad

Former Baby Elephant, Gathurst Like the Dover Lock in Abram, what used to be the canalside Navigation pub in Shevington didn't work out in the end and now it's several years since its successor, the Indian restaurant called Baby Elephant, closed and has quickly fallen into decay. However it was recently revealed that it has been put up for sale by its current owner. Let's hope that signals a new beginning. Photo: Michelle Adamson
