Spitting

Should spitting in public carry a hefty fine? I believe in this day and age it should. Not only is it disgusting but it spreads germs.

Being a bit of a germophobe and especially in this day and age when we are beset with Covid and all its permutations, I would say a very definite YES it should be banned.
It amazes me in supermarkets when folk don’t bother to disinfect their trolleys and hands.
It’s as if people think that Covid has gone away.
It has most certainly NOT gone away, and that’s why I ALWAYS disinfect, and most importantly, when you get back home the first thing to do is wash your hands thoroughly.

Whenever I watch a football match it seems the norm for players to spit. Then they are running around and handling the ball that could have landed in their spit. Even getting it on their clothes I guess. Yuk

There is a by law in force in Calgary that prohibits spitting in a public place. Spitting at / on someone can be classed as assault.

I was once told, many years ago that in China they spit on floor of restaurants. This said by a Canadian friend who had just returned from a vacation there...Yahhhkk..........
