Great pics. I read on twitter that they are pedestrianizing the area.

Don’t remember it myself Broady, I Googled it.
Address was Moorfields Ltd, Atlas Brewery, Lathom's Yard, 20a Millgate.
It seems the brewery was demolished 1970 due to town centre redevelopment.

Great pictures as ever OY Thumbs Up , a good record of our town centre redevelopment, it’s not all doom and gloom like The Galleries.
If it is pedestrianised it will be nice for folk walking in and out of the town centre to Believe Square and surrounding streets.
Not so often we praise Wigan Council, this is an example of money being visibly well spent rather than wasted.

Comment by: LEONARD GORE (wigan, england) pre 2009.
I REMEMBER THE (GREEN CURTAIN) AS WAS CALLED IT BELONGED TO THE MOORFIELD BREWERY WHICH WAS AT THE BACK AND BILOWS BUILDERS THERE WAS A MAN WHO WORKED AT THE BREWERY WITH ONLY ONE ARM BUT HE COULD ROLL A BARREL OF BEER BETTER THAN SOMEONE WITH TWO ARMS. THERE WAS A PUB ALSO NEXT TO IT.
