TBH Broady I cant see how OY got it wrong. Weind, Wiend is a passage or ginnel. As Oy says pronounced Weend. In Scotland it would be Wynd. pronounced waɪnd

TBH I ain’t interested in what it means. The one in Wigan is spelt Wiend. End of story. Not the same as it is in Garstang.
