HRH THE QUEEN RIP Empty HRH THE QUEEN RIP

Post by Lolly Thu 08 Sep 2022, 1:19 pm

God bless her.

The Queen is under medical supervision at Balmoral Castle in Scotland, a statement from Buckingham Palace says
Prince Charles and Camilla have arrived at Balmoral and Prince William is travelling there
The Queen's doctors are concerned for her health, following further evaluation this morning, the palace statement says
But it adds the 96-year-old monarch "remains comfortable"
Prime Minister Liz Truss says "the whole country will be deeply concerned by the news"
She says her thoughts - and those of everyone in the UK - are with the Queen and her family

Buckingham Palace felt it necessary to issue a statement, and the fact that family members are travelling there, says everything.

Yes, God Bless Her.

May she recover soon.

I remember, as many of us do, the coronation in 1952. We all, at St John's, Pem, received a coronation mug full of sweets. I was six years old and it still sticks in my memory.

I came across this description and had to re-post it:

"The long reign of Queen Elizabeth II was marked by her strong sense of duty and her determination to dedicate her life to her throne and to her people."

Just beautiful.

"Elizabeth Alexandra Mary Windsor was born on 21 April 1926, in a house just off Berkeley Square in London, the first child of Albert, Duke of York, second son of George V, and his duchess, the former Lady Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon."

Royal seal of approval
From tomato ketchup to packets of cereal to perfume, chances are you will have seen the Royal Arms alongside the words, "By appointment to Her Majesty the Queen" on some of your groceries or other items in your home. These are products which have been granted a Royal Warrant, meaning that the company who makes them supplies the Royal Households on a regular basis.

For the last century or so the monarch, their consort and heir have each issued their own Royal Warrants - making them grantors - and there are currently about 900 Royal Warrants held by 800 companies.

When a grantor dies, any Royal Warrants they issued become void and the company has two years to stop using the Royal Arms. (Exceptionally, warrants issued by the Queen Mother stood for five years after her death.)

The warrants Charles has issued as Prince of Wales will continue now that he is King because they go with the household, not the title.

There is an expectation that the new King will now grant his son and heir, Prince William, the ability to issue his own warrants.

So treasure that HP sauce you have

Well, I for one am proud to be British. No matter what the heirarchy. Good luck to them all, I believe they have the wherewithall to keep our lovely country on the right tracks, as our lovely monarch has done for over 70 years.

Bless 'em all..... Thumbs Up
