As far as I am aware, they were not in any kind of zoo. Just a fenced in field. They do look strange, dont they?

Apologies to Uncle Joe. I just found this pic of his which I think has not been posted.

The bridge shown was originally built in 1329, and was at that time one of the entrances to the German town of Hann. Munden.
