It is, nordic, and Mr Sim's newspaper shop at the end, opposite the bus where I used to deliver papers seven days a week, twice a day for 12 shillings and sixpence....per week....!!!!!!!

I remember going down to the Brook by the Long Wall, close to Winstanley and seeing a walk down entrance to a pit.....What memories, nordic...

I dont remember the bridge, I do remember the brook and if not mistaken there was a tree with a rope to swing on at the bottom of the lane.

The bridge was quite close to the railway line and the old signal box. But you are so young that you would not remember the signal box. It's only us old farts that remember that............

Pingot Viaduct
Photos by a local urban explorer - Instagram
Little one out to the site of the Pingot Viaduct (built around 1790, demolished 1890) that was located at the bottom of Brook Lane, Pemberton.
Nice Little culvert too.
The stones I think, or would like to think, was part of the Viaduct.
Cast iron railway bridge, that is accessible via public footpath.
